Man smashed glass cup into man’s face at Mugshots Sports Bar & Grill: cops

An man has been charged with smashing a glass into another man’s face at Mugshots Sports Bar & Grill in Homer Glen.

Prosecutors charged John Pacella, 41, of the 11700 block of Burnley Drive in Orland Park with aggravated battery in a public place and aggravated battery causing great bodily harm in connection with the incident.

On Jan. 30, Pacella was at Mugshots, 13033 W. 143rd St., when he was arrested after he smashed a glass into the face of a 31-year-old man, according to the Will County Sheriff’s Office.

Pacella was taken to the Will County jail about 6 a.m. after his arrest.

A judge found a reasonable basis for Pacella’s warrantless arrest and set his bond at $10,000, court records show. Pacella was ordered to have no contact with the alleged victim or with Mugshots.

Pacella posted bond and was released at noon on Jan. 30.

On Feb. 2, Pacella appeared in court with his attorney, Matthew Arthur, and pleaded not guilty to the charges.

Pacella’s next court date is scheduled for Feb. 24. He was scheduled for a preliminary hearing to determine if there is probable cause he committed the alleged offenses.
