Joliet police arrested a Shorewood man on five gun charges Wednesday during a traffic stop near Glenwood Avenue and Whittier Avenue, authorities said.

A man in Bolingbrook had accidentally fired off his gun at his wife and then shot himself, according to a preliminary investigation by police.
