Kimberly Napolski to become asst. principal at Plainfield school

The District 202 board of education recently approved Kimberly Napolski as Ridge Elementary School’s assistant principal for the 2021-22 school year.

She will replace the Karl Lustrup. Lustrup will become the assistant principal at Creekside Elementary School in Plainfield, according to a news release from District 202.

Napolski currently teaches English at Plainfield East High School. The board of education approved Napolski for her new role at its regular meeting on June 28, the release said.

She previously taught English at Nequa Valley High School in Naperville District 203 from 1999 to 2001, the release said.

Napolski then took time off to raise her family. She returned to teaching in 2017 in her current role at Plainfield East. Napolski also served as an administrative intern at Plainfield East from January 2020 to December, the release said.

Lustrup will replace Kyle Harej who was recently named the principal at Ridge Elementary. Harej replaces Stacey DiBitetto, who was recently named the first principal at Wallin Oaks Elementary, which will open in August, the release said.
