For the first time in two years, the Joliet Township High School Foundation will host a trivia event.
The last event was held in 2020 right before the shutdown, according to a 2021 Herald-News story. The 2021 event was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The 16th trivia event will be held on March 13 at 176 West Banquets, 1100 NE Frontage Road in Joliet. Doors open at 2 p.m. Trivia starts at 3 p.m. This year’s theme is “Trivia Rewind.” The event will include 10 rounds of 10 questions each.
The cost per team of 10 people is $200. Participants may bring light snacks and desserts. Sandwiches, pizza and beverages are available for purchase at the event. Do not bring such major food items to the event, according to the release.
Teams are encouraged to incorporate the theme into their dress and table decor. Cash prizes will be awarded to the first and second place top-scoring teams as well as the best-themed table decor and costumes, according to the release.
The JTHS Foundation typically clears $10,000 from the trivia event, Mark Turk, foundation president, said according to the 2021 story. All proceeds benefit the JTHS Foundation and its mission of providing educational grants and scholarships to students and staff, according to a news release from Joliet Township High School District 204.
