Troy Township will host Illinois Secretary of State Jesse White’s Mobile Driver Services Unit on June 1 at its community center.
Services will be available from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. for Illinois residents. All attendees must wear facemasks. The community center is located at 25448 Seil Road in Shorewood.
Available services include the opportunity to obtain a vehicle sticker; receive a vision screening with driver’s license renewal; or renew, replace, or correct a driver’s license or state identification card.
However, driving tests and obtaining an actual ID can only be done at a Secretary of State facility.
In addition, a Rules of the Road class will be held from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. This class will consist of “an explanation of safe driving techniques, Illinois driving laws and a practice written exam,” according to a news release from Troy Township.
Pre-registration for this class is required. To register, call 815-744-1963.
Bring current driver’s license or ID card to renew a current Illinois driver’s license or ID.
To apply for a duplicate or corrected card, bring two forms of identification.
