Troy School District 30C now has opening on its school board

Deadline to submit résumés June 30

Troy Community School District 30-C currently has an opening on its school board.

Members of the community interested in the position should submit their résumé by 3 p.m. June 30, according to a news release from the school district.

Nicole Sutarik will notify any potential candidates of their next steps. The board hopes to install the new member by July 31. The new board member will remain in the position until the next public election in April 2023.

The new member can either decide to run again to complete the remainder of the four-year term or decline running in the election, according to the release.

According to Illinois law and board policy, candidates must live in Iliinois and in the school district for at least one year preceding election or appointment and not be a school trustee, according to the release.
