The Frankfort Village Board recently approved the employment contract of current Village Administrator Robert “Rob” Piscia, who has served in this position since June 2017, according to a release from the village of Frankfort.
In addition, the board appointed John Burica, Frankfort’s current police chief, as assistant village administrator, effective immediately, according to the release. Burica has served as interim/provisional assistant village administrator since December 2020 and previously served as interim in 2017.
In the past 34 years, Piscia has served as Frankfort’s assistant village administrator, human resources director, finance director and police chief, according to the release. He is a member of Illinois City Managers Association, Illinois Government Finance Officers Association, Will County Administrators and Managers and the Society for Human Resource Managers.
Piscia is a certified flood plain manager and certified police chief and serves as chairman of SWARM, a multicommunity risk-management pool, according to the release.
He also has served local charity organizations, youth sports organizations and his family’s local church, according to the release. Piscia and his wife, Leslie, have lived in Frankfort for 23 years. Their three children graduated from Lincoln-Way East High School.
Burica has more than 26 years of experience in local government. This includes the past 23 years with Frankfort and nearly 11 years as chief of police, according to the release.
He earned his master’s degree in public administration from Governors State University and his bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from Illinois State University, according to the release. In addition, he has served on many village and Will County committees, has been involved with numerous professional and civic organizations and has been received many honors during his career.
