The village of Romeoville recently celebrated the latest completed renovation of one of its parks.
Romeoville officials held a ribbon cutting last Tuesday at Rotary Park, located at 2023 Whitmore Drive in the village, according to a news release.
The park features new playground equipment, a shelter, trail system and other improved furnishings.
“As time passes, it is important to give our parks a refresh,” Romeoville Mayor John Noak said in a statement. “This keeps the amenities safe, accessible, and current.”
The project was a joint effort between the village of Romeoville and Plainfield Park District.
Rotary Park is one of the 31 parks the village oversees and maintains. Construction is underway on a major renovation of Conservation Park and the brand new Pine Trail Park, which is expected to open this fall.
