Lions Club annual ‘Candy Day’ gets an online twist

Supporters can donate to the Joliet Noon Lions through GoFundMe

It’s easy to spot a Joliet Noon Lion on Candy Day; the yellow vest gives it away.

This Friday and Saturday the Joliet Noon Lions Club will offer candy and collect monetary donations in support of Lions of Illinois Annual Candy Day, according to a news release from the Joliet Noon Lions.

Or supporters can skip the candy and simply donate directly to the club’s GoFundMe page at gofund.me/257053f2.

The Joliet Noon Lions Club assists Joliet residents who have vision and hearing impairments by providing eye exams and glasses and hearing exams and hearing aids to people who qualify, the release said.

The club also helps support Camp Lions, sight and hearing screening vans, scholarships and local programs.
