Bolingbrook to host COVID-19 booster vaccine clinic on Wednesday

The clinic will also offer first doses of the Pfizer vaccine for those 5 years old and up

The Will County Health Department and the village of Bolingbrook will host a COVID-19 vaccine clinic Wednesday.

The clinic will offer both the Pfizer and Moderna vaccine booster shots, according to a news release. The Pfizer vaccine is also available for anyone 5 and up who still need to receive their first dose.

To qualify for a booster shot, attendees must have proof of vaccination with their second dose no earlier than six months prior to their appointment date, and be at least 16 years old to receive the Pfizer shot or 18 years old to receive the Moderna shot.

The clinic will take place at the Bolingbrook Community Center, located at 201 Canterbury Lane, through Door A, in Bolingbrook on Wednesday, Dec. 22, from noon to 6 p.m.

Appointments are available as long as supplies lasts.

About 60% of Will County residents are fully vaccinated.
