The Joliet Noon Lions recently distributed warm clothing into the community, thanks to donations and two Joliet businesses that hosted its winter collection boxes: Busey Bank and Silver Spoon Restaurant.
The club recently distributed 24 blankets and 12 sleeping bags St. Vincent DePaul to assist the homeless.
In addition, Catholic Charities Daybreak Center received 79 pairs of socks, eight packages of children’s underwear, nine pair of gloves, five coats, 40 pieces of clothing 18 towels, 15 winter caps, 12 T-shirts, six packages of adult underwear and slippers and 21 bed sheets, according to the release.
