Plainfield Shorewood Area Chamber of Commerce welcomes fitness club, boutique retailer

The Plainfield Shorewood Area Chamber of Commerce will host two ribbon cuttings for two new chamber members.

G.R.I.T RX Fitness will hold a ribbon cutting at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at GRIT RX Fitness, 857 Center Court in Shorewood.

G.R.I.T RX Fitness offers group fitness classes that incorporate “strength training, cardio and functional fitness,” according to the Plainfield Shorewood Area Chamber of Commerce’s website.

Ava James & Company also held a ribbon cutting at its storefront located at 24113 W Lockport St. in Plainfield.

Ava James & Company, which was founded in 2024, as an online, small-business boutique experience for those who prefer to shop online or for those unable to shop in person.
