The owners of Geneva’s FoxFire restaurant are gearing up to celebrate Halloween and Day of the Dead, all at their Copper Fox venue.

FoxFire and Copper Fox owners, father and son Curt and K.C. Gulbro, will host the I Love the ’80s to Death Murder Mystery and Costume Party on Friday, Oct. 27, and Day of the Dead Dinner on Thursday, Nov. 2.

Copper Fox is located at 477 S. Third St., Suite 190, in Geneva.

The I Love the ’80s to Death Murder Mystery and Costume Party is from 6 to 9 p.m. Guests are encouraged to dress in a horror film character, monster character or ’80s outfit. Partygoers will be detectives, joining others to solve a murder case set in the backdrop of that decade. Ticket price includes passed appetizers, a taco bar, a baked potato bar and cookie and brownie stations. A cash bar with drink specials will be available. Tickets can be purchased online at copper-fox.com/social-events.

The Day of the Dead Dinner is from 6 to 9 p.m. Nov. 2, and will feature cocktails and dinner courses by Casa Noble and Mi Compo Tequila. The five-course meal will offer shrimp tinga, chicken mole, chicken thighs, roasted pork shoulder, salad and candied pumpkin empanadas with vanilla bean gelato for dessert. Guests also receive a traditional sugar skull to take home. Tickets can be purchased online.

FoxFire is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year. The restaurant will be unveiling a new menu with a variety of fall flavors and new seafood and pasta offerings. Gulbro is also working to expand the vegan and vegetarian options.
