5 Things to Do: Holiday Radio Play, Family Workshop Experience and more in Kendall County

The Little White School Museum at 72 Polk Street in Oswego has announced its hours of operation for the 2023 holiday season.

Here are five things to do in Kendall County:

1. Holiday Radio Play: “A Christmas Carol”: From 7 to 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Dec. 20 and 21, there will be a Holiday Radio Play of “A Christmas Carol” at the Little White School Museum, located at 72 Polk St. in Oswego. Ebenezer Scrooge will receive visits from ghosts of his past on Christmas Eve. Scrooge will learn the true meaning of Christmas and how to pull himself out of isolation. 2. Family Workshop Experience: From 9 to 10:45 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 22, there will be a Family Workshop Experience at New Life Church, located at 3205 Cannonball Trail in Yorkville. Kids in kindergarten and up are invited to join the church’s Sunday service with adults. There will be fun, interactive moments included. 3. Pet Supplies Plus Adoption Event: From noon to 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 28, there will be an adoption event at Pet Supplies Plus, located at 1791 Douglas Road in Montgomery. Rover Rescue will hold the adoption event, and attendees are welcome to bring their dogs. Even for those not looking to adopt, animals can be played with. 4. POUND for Kids Workshop: From 10:30 to 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 3, there will be a youth-oriented POUND class at the Civic Center, located at 5 Ashlawn Ave. in Montgomery. The class will use music and movement to improve focus, coordination, physical fitness and teamwork skills. Children will learn to explore movement, embrace their creativity and build strength, confidence and self-awareness. The cost is $8 for residents and $10 for nonresidents. 5. Emo Night Live With All American Throwbacks: At 7 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 4, there will be an Emo Night Live with All American Throwbacks at Pinz Entertainment Center, located at 1211 N. Bridge St. in Yorkville. The band will perform pop punk and emo throwbacks, such as songs from Blink-182, Good Charlotte, Pierce The Veil and more.
