Preservation in Geneva hosting a variety of events to beat winter blues

Preservation, a restaurant, lounge and live music venue in Geneva, has unveiled a full lineup of fun events in January to help you beat the winter blues.

Fondue Night is from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 15 in the newly-remodeled Front Lounge. Indulge in delicious, shareable fondue while sipping a perfectly paired glass of wine. A limited number of tickets are available, and can be purchased here.

Test your pop culture knowledge at 90s Trivia Night at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 22 in the heated patio, which is reminiscent of a cozy ski lodge.

Enjoy live music every Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights all winter long on the heated patio. Some of the upcoming performers include Ian Leith Jan. 9, Willard Wilcox Jan. 10 and Jake Mack Jan. 11. Later this month, expect artists Dan Maguire, Alex Hoffer and Dave Ramont to take the stage.

Amateur musicians can show off their talents at Open Mic/Open Jam Nights at 6 p.m. Mondays (except Jan. 13, as Preservation is closed for an employee party). Host Aaron Kelly will help everyone sound their best. Stop by on Thursdays for Vinyl Night from 6-9 p.m. in the Front Lounge. Local vinyl lovers could be spinning their favorites, so bring your own record to share.

Geneva Restaurant Week is Jan. 18-26, and Preservation is bringing back some old favorites for a limited time only. For $49, guests can enjoy a five-course meal. First course is a choice of sweet potato curry soup or spicy falafel; second course is a choice of spinach artichoke bread pudding or duck Rillette with crostini; third course choices are grilled vegetable focaccia with fresh mozzarella or lamb meatloaf focaccia with pomegranate molasses and preserved lemon; fourth course choices are short rib pie or salmon mashed potato bake. Finish it off with a dessert of bread pudding.
