Guitarist and songwriter Dan Navarro, formerly of the acclaimed acoustic duo Lowen & Navarro, will perform at the The Venue in downtown Aurora at 7 p.m. Feb. 14 & 15.
According to a news release, Navarro’s career started as a songwriter, most often in collaboration with Eric Lowen, for artists like Pat Benatar (the Grammy-nominated “We Belong”) The Bangles, Jackson Browne, Dave Edmunds, The Temptations, Dionne Warwick, The Triplets, Dutch star Marco Borsato and Austin outlaw legend Rusty Weir.
In the 1990s and 2000s, the musicians recorded and toured as the acclaimed acoustic duo Lowen & Navarro until Eric’s retirement in 2009. Navarro has transitioned into a solo career over the past decade, touring across the country. His first studio album, “Shed My Skin,” was released in 2019. He also has a career as a voice actor and singer in many well-known films, television series and commercials.
Navarro’s new album, “Horizon Line,” which was released in August, was produced by multiple Grammy®-winner Jim Scott (Tom Petty, Wilco, The Dixie Chicks and the first five Lowen & Navarro albums).
Ticket prices start at $25. For more information, visit themusicvenue.org. The Venue is located at 21 S. Broadway Ave., Aurora.
