The St. Charles Business Alliance selected four businesses for the 2024 Made in St. Charles Program. The businesses were highlighted on social media during the week of Jan. 13, culminating in an awards ceremony Jan. 21 at the St. Charles City Council meeting.
Businesses were selected by the St. Charles Business Alliance’s Business Development and Sales Committee.
The four selections were:
- Arcedium Coffeehouse
- Brown Butter Cafe & Bakery
- Dear Donuts
- Kimmer’s Ice Cream
The Made in St. Charles program, launched in 2022 to highlight local businesses and their innovative products, focused on bakeries and cafes for the 2024 edition. The Business Development and Sales Committee spotlighted small, local businesses.
“Our Business Development and Sales Committee did an excellent job with the selections,” Jenna Sawicki, executive director of the St. Charles Business Alliance, said in a news release from the alliance. “Since there were many nominations for cafes and sweets businesses, they decided to hit the sweet spot and make that the theme for [last] year’s Made in St. Charles selections. We can’t wait to see what is in store for the program in 2025.”
