Galentine’s Day events happening in northern Illinois

Raise your wine glasses high! Galentine’s Day is just around the corner, and it’s the perfect day to celebrate with your favorite ladies.

This unofficial holiday, celebrated annually on Feb. 13, is a time for ladies to ditch the romance and celebrate the amazing women in their lives.

From wine tastings to themed dinners to crafting to shopping, northern Illinois is brimming with Galentine’s Day festivities in February. Grab your mom, sister, niece, aunt, and besties and get ready for a day of laughter, love, and unforgettable memories.

Eastside Cafe & Wine Bar – East Dundee

Wyckwood House Boutique + Bar in downtown Aurora is hosting a Galentine’s Day Soiree from 5 to 8 p.m. on Feb. 13 for an evening of fun, laughter, and shopping. Celebrate friendship and support local vendors, including 1819 Madera Designs, Button Up Accessories, Chanla Chau Cosmetics, and Artemisa, along with Galentine’s Day-inspired signature cocktails. Celebrate Galentine’s Day for two nights in Crystal Lake. Enjoy two nights of dancing, cocktails, and light bites from 6 to 11 p.m. on Feb. 7 and 8 at Quarry Cable Park. Tapville Social in downtown Naperville is hosting a Galentine’s Day Cocktails and Sweets Pairing from 7 to 8 p.m. on Feb. 11 and 13. Enjoy four cocktails paired with sweet treats from local businesses, including Kilwins, Molly’s Cupcakes, Cinnaholic, and Naperville Nuts & Sweets. Tickets are $45 and must be purchased in advance. Petals by Peyton & Kea Roze Boutique – La Salle

Petals by Peyton is teaming up with Kea Roze Boutique to host the 3rd annual Galentine’s Day event. Six local vendors will be at Petals by Peyton, 552 1st St., La Salle, from 4 to 8 p.m. on Feb. 7 for an evening of love and friendship. Vendors include Essl Farms, with chocolates and candies; Sanctuary will serve themed mocktails; K Kandle will have the latest candle scents; Forever + a Day will have permanent jewelry; Emily Howell will offer ear piercing; and Pinch Mobile Med Spa will have mini beauty refresh options. Woodstock Opera House – Woodstock

Galentine’s Day Candles and Cocktails is from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Feb. 13. Guests will create their own candles with a signature scent with Seleta Scents. Camp Aramoni – Tonica

Camp Aramoni, a boutique campground just south of Starved Rock, is hosting two special Galentine’s Day events. The Paint ‘N Sip party is from 6 to 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 6. Guests will create a painting on a 16x20 canvas with Painting Parties by Lucy, while enjoying wine, charcuterie, crafts, and more. The tickets are $45 and include a drink ticket, charcuterie, and painting materials. Additional beverages may be purchased at the cash bar. Reservations are required.

Galentine’s Day Brunch at Camp Aramoni is from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 9. The event will feature a brunch buffet and a cash bar with themed drinks, including the “Pretty in Pink” and the “Be My Galentine.” Bloody Marys, mimosas, and nonalcoholic drinks will also be available. Grab your friends for a night of dancing at the YMCA. The Galentine’s Day party is from 6 to 7 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 7 during a WERQ dance fitness class. It’s a Taylor Swift-inspired Galentine’s Day event at Cantigny Park. “Karma is my Boyfriend: A Galentine’s Day Affair” is from 6 to 10 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 13. This event is for adults 21 and over. Enjoy a dinner and cocktails inspired by Swift’s eras, along with photo stations, Trivia by Go 4 It Entertainment, and more. Guests are encouraged to dress in their favorite Swift era. Mocktails at the Museum – Romeoville

The Forest Preserve District of Will County will host a Galentine’s Day event from 5:30 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 13 at the Isle a la Cache Museum in Romeoville. This event is for guests age 18 and above. Guests will make different botanical-inspired mocktails, learn about their connections to the forest preserve, and explore the museum. A different twist for “holiday,” this Galentine’s Day Sips, Suds & Snacks event is from 5 to 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 13. Guests, who must be 21 or over, will learn the “melt and pour” soap-making process and make their own soaps, customizing them with fragrance and color. Snacks and drinks will be provided.
