Sons of Cream, the U.K. band whose music is a celebration of the legendary Cream’s classic music, will perform Friday, Feb. 21 at the Arcada Theatre in St. Charles.

As the band’s name indicates, two of the members, Malcom Bruce and Kofi Baker, are sons of two of the original members of the legendary band Cream – bassist Jack Bruce and drummer Ginger Baker, according to a news release.

The third member of this highly talented trio is guitarist Rob Johnson, who is a grandnephew of Ginger Baker. All three members provide vocals.

Cream, which also featured iconic guitarist Eric Clapton, emerged from the British blues rock scene in the 1960s.

The band performs classic Cream songs, along with two Blind Faith songs, which was the band Clapton and Ginger Baker formed after Cream.

The live shows stay true to Cream’s music, even down to improvising the songs that Cream was noted for throughout its too-brief career. The band also tells engaging stories about Cream and the band’s music. It’s a concert of classic, blistering blues-rock performed by the true inheritors of this unique and unparalleled tradition and legacy.

Ticket prices start at $39. The Arcada Theatre is located at 105 E. Main St. in downtown St. Charles.
