Here are five things to do in Kendall County:
1. Daddies, Dance and Doughnuts: From 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 1, there will be a Daddies, Dance and Doughnuts event at the Civic Center, located at 5 Ashlawn Ave. in Montgomery. Girls ages two to five will be able to dress up, bring a special guest and eat doughnuts and dance. Attendees should register by noon on Friday, Jan. 31. 2. Pick Your Project Workshop: From 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 1, a sign-making workshop will take place at Board & Brush Creative Studio, located at 83E Templeton Drive in Oswego. This is a DIY workshop, and attendees will have the opportunity to create their own wooden sign. All materials are provided, as well as step-by-step instructions on how to create the sign of one’s choosing. There are a variety of paint and wood stain colors. Preregistration is required. 3. Galentine’s Day Social: From 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 13, there will be a Galentine’s Day Social at Ginger and Soul, located at 131 E. Hydraulic Ave., Unit C, in Yorkville. This event will feature friendship and financial empowerment. Attendees will sample a curated menu of wine and chocolate pairings. 4. Stuffy and Me Tea: From 11 a.m. to noon Sunday, Feb. 16, there will be a special tea party taking place at the Little White School Museum, located at 72 Polk St. in Oswego. Children will bring a stuffed friend, sample tea or juice, enjoy sweet treats and make a take-home craft. This event is for all ages, and children must be accompanied by an adult. 5. “The Office” Trivia at Pinz: At 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 21, there will be speciality-themed trivia at Pinz Entertainment Center, located at 1211 N. Bridge St. in Yorkville. The trivia will ask questions about “The Office,” featuring four rounds of questions with four possible winners, as well as an overall winner of the night. The event will also feature plenty of prizes and specialty cocktails and mocktails. Attendees can purchase $13 16-inch cheese pizzas and $17 domestic buckets.
