5 Things to Do: Indoor Market, Be My Valentine High Tea and more in Kane County

Here are five things to do in Kane County:

1. Love in the Galaxy: From 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, Jan. 31, there will be a Love in the Galaxy painting event at Pinot’s Palette, located at 3823 E. Main St. in St. Charles. Attendees will create a galaxy painting with a heart. Participants can add constellations, initials and more. This is a no-experience required art class and trained, local artists will be on-site to lead the class. Pinot’s is a paint-and-sip experience, so those 21 and older can buy wine at the venue. 2. Indoor Market: From 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Feb. 1, Batavia’s Indoor Market will take place at Grainology Brewstillery, located at 131 Flinn St., Suite C, in Batavia. The market features a variety of vendors and 75% of the market’s vendors must grow, harvest or produce the products. Products include fresh greens, gourmet mushrooms, meats, eggs, baked goods, hot sauces, honey and more. The Indoor Market takes place from 9 a.m. to noon every Saturday through mid-May. 3. Heart Stamped Cards: From 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 13, there will be a stamp-making event in the Meeting Room at the Geneva Public Library District, located at 227 S. Seventh St. Attendees will make DIY heart stamps to decorate Valentine’s Day cards. Stamps will be dipped in paint to decorate the cards. This event is for all ages. 4. Be My Valentine High Tea: At 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 15, there will be a Be My Valentine High Tea event at The Graceful Ordinary, located at 3 E. Main St. in St. Charles. The event features Valentine’s Day-themed sweets, canapes and pastries, as well as diverse and aromatic teas crafted by The Irie Cup. Alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages will be available to buy. Tickets are $66 per adult, $42 for children ages 3 to 12 and free for those 2 and younger. Tickets include gratuity. For those looking to sit together, buy tickets together. 5. Community Fellowship: From 8 to 9 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 18, a Community Fellowship event will take place at Torus Center, located at 121 Flinn St. in Batavia. Jamie Kruse, owner and founder of Torus, will lead a meeting focused on spiritual growth and creating deep connections. Meetings take place from 8 to 9 a.m. every Tuesday morning, and each meeting will focus on a different topic. Participants will have the opportunity to share stories of hope, challenges and more.
