Yuengling beer now available on draft at Illinois bars, restaurants

Beer from one of the country’s oldest breweries will now be flowing from the taps at bars across Illinois.

Pennsylvania’s Yuengling Brewery beers are now available in the state for the first time ever, as of this week.

In a press release, the brewery announced that Illinois beer lovers can enjoy a variety of beers, including Yuengling® Traditional Lager and Flight by Yuengling, the Next Generation of Light Beer®, on tap.

“As we look to further Yuengling’s presence in the Midwest, we are excited to officially begin pouring our iconic beers in Illinois as our next expansion state,” Wendy Yuengling, Chief Administrative Officer and 6th generation family member, D.G. Yuengling & Son, Inc., said in the release. “On behalf of our entire Yuengling family, we are humbled by the devotion we’ve received from dedicated fans in Illinois that have been eagerly awaiting for Yuengling beers to be available in their favorite bars and restaurants – serving as a testament to the brewery’s almost 200 year commitment to brewing the highest quality lagers, porters and ales for consumers to enjoy."

Yuengling is now, or soon will be, available on draft in over 2,000 bars and restaurants across the state.

Some of the many northern Illinois locations include The Hive, Duke’s Northwoods, Flagship on the Fox and The Filling Station in St. Charles, PJ’s Courthouse Tavern in Sycamore, Old Republic Kitchen + Bar in South Elgin, Holzlager Brewing Company in Woodstock, Galatis Hideaway in Cary, Richmond Brat Haus in Richmond, Pub 56 in Aurora, Sovereign and NWB Next Whiskey Bar in Plainfield, Heroes West Sports Grill in Joliet and Pierce Tavern in Downers Grove.

Fans are encouraged to check the Yuengling Beer Finder to find which bars/restaurants will have Yuengling. The site will be updated over the next few days, as more bars and restaurants continued to be added.

To celebrate the launch of the brands in Illinois, the Yuengling team will be visiting various locations throughout the state this week to offer consumers sampling opportunities as they enjoy their first sips of draft beer.

Following the draft launch this month, Yuengling will become available in cans and bottles across the state at stores, restaurants and bars starting in early March.
