Crown Signia offers distinct looks, hybrid power, AWD grip

Toyota’s dependability, impressive ride make elevated sedan a must-see

The 2025 Toyota Crown Signia offers distinct styling, hybrid power, and AWD grip.

The 2025 Toyota Crown Signia Limited is Toyota’s most recent effort to redefine its premium-level vehicles, with a special emphasis on the balance of elegance and utility. An elevated sedan with crossover-inspired design cues, the Crown Signia is based on the 2024 Crown flagship sedan, a wonderful car, and a benchmark for Toyota design and quality.

Exterior style

The Crown Signia Limited’s exterior blends sleek, modern lines with SUV-like proportions. Its high stance and coupe-like roofline are striking, but they may not appeal to those who prefer traditional sedan aesthetics.

The 21-inch alloy rim added another level of refinement and I especially liked the chrome accents and distinctive LED lighting on my tester. While the grille treatment is distinct, it would be easy to see how this design would be a bit polarizing and not appeal to everyone.

Cabin comforts

Inside, the Limited trim level lives up to its name. Premium materials, including leather upholstery and wood accents, create an upscale ambiance. The 12.3-inch touchscreen is the centerpiece of the dashboard, complemented by a digital gauge cluster.

I found the cabin to feel spacious in both the first and second rows. While the sloping roofline cuts a bit into the rear headroom, it’s not annoying and the huge panoramic moonroof helped open things up a bit.

The Limited models offer heated and ventilated front seats and a premium JBL audio system. Seating quality is upscale, with beautiful contrast stitching and soft upholstery. While the cargo space is not class-leading and aligns more with a sedan than a full-fledged crossover, it is still accommodating and with the second-row seats split and flattened, it offers a great deal of utility.

Performance

All Crown Signias are hybrid models with all-wheel drive. My tester delivered outstanding fuel economy at an EPA-estimated 29 mpg in combined city/highway driving, which is respectable given its size.

Under the hood, the 2025 Crown Signia Limited features a hybrid powertrain combining a 2.4-liter turbocharged engine with two electric motors. The setup delivers 340 horsepower, 178 pound-feet of torque, and a smooth all-wheel-drive experience. The car offers a 0-60 mph acceleration time of 5.8 seconds, which is impressive for its segment.

My tester’s suspension offered a balance of comfort and sportiness, absorbing road imperfections while offering respectable handling in corners. I enjoyed the overall ride and performance of the Crown Signia over my week-long test period. If there was any downside, it would likely be the lack of feedback in the steering.

Technology and features

Toyota’s Limited trim does not disappoint when it comes to advanced tech features. The infotainment system is responsive and supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. A standard 360-degree camera, adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, and blind-spot monitoring elevate the safety level.

I found the user interface for the infotainment system to be a bit cumbersome to intuitively operate and navigate the layers of menus. It got easier as the week went on, but this is not the most intuitive system I have encountered.

Pricing and value

The base model of the Crown Signia starts at $47,990, my tester landed at $51,305 with destination fees. Fully loaded, it can reach the $55,000 mark, putting it in the territory of established luxury brands.

My opinion is that when you consider Toyota’s reliability and hybrid expertise, what it may lack in cutting-edge exterior design, it more than makes up with dependability and resale value. The 2025 Toyota Crown Signia Limited is a compelling option for those seeking a luxury hybrid with a great combination of performance, efficiency and technology.
