The process for choosing a gym has something in common with choosing a home you want to live in.

A new family owned Italian cuisine restaurant has opened in Prophetstown.

The celebration will begin at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 9, at Ebenezer Reformed Church, 309 E. Park St., Morrison.

Donna M. McKenna, 52, was charged with three counts of arson and one count of insurance fraud Wednesday in Whiteside County Circuit Court, according to court documents.

More than 600 people attended Resthave Care & Rehabilitation's annual Family Fun Day on Sept. 29, 2024. The free event, which encourages quality family time for all ages, featured a tattoo artist, magician, petting zoo, touch-a-truck, bounce house, balloon art, face painting, a cookie walk, crafts, contests and a meal of baked beans and pork chops or a hotdog and chips.

Morrison’s downtown was transformed into an outdoor canvas for hundreds of amateur artists of all ages who gathered to paint the town Saturday.

The clinic starts at 8 a.m. and is by appointment only. There are no charges for any services at this clinic.

The newly refurbished park, originally called 10th Avenue Park or School Park, has been under construction for the past few months.

The Sept. 10 ceremony, set to last from 5:30-7:30 p.m., will officially open the park to the public.
