Cars and trucks from a variety of makes, models and years cruised into the city park for the 33rd annual Lyndon Car Show. Temperatures in the mid 70s and partly sunny skies helped make this year’s show a success with 137 vehicles attending, breaking the event's past record of 132.




One of the observances for Memorial Day took place along the Rock River shore. Rock Falls American Legion Post 902, Rock Falls Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5418 and Sterling American Legion Post 296 participated.



In Savanna, a wall of sand bags holds back the rising waters of the Mississippi River, while downstream in Albany the water spills out onto the flood plain and over state Route 84.
