Two people were taken into custody Friday after a police chase ended in the city of La Salle.

Fifty families and 120 children received Christmas gifts through Peru's Red Christmas for Kids program on Friday, a local charity that provides personalized gifts to children in need. Blue and Red has spent about $30,000 this year, and in addition to that, it has used many of the donated items (toys and clothing) from the community.
