OTTAWA — Robert Roth, 82, of Ottawa, died Friday, April 6, at his home.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 11, at St. Patrick Church with Rev. Bruno Byomuhangi officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Memorial Park, where full military rites will be accorded. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Mueller Funeral Home in Ottawa. Liturgical prayers will be at 3:45 p.m.
Robert was born June 29, 1935, in Ottawa to John and Rose B. (Coleman) Roth. He married Shirley Ann LeBeau on Aug. 3, 1957, at St. Mary’s Church in Ottawa. Bob was an electrician before his retirement. He was a member of St. Patrick Church and the Ottawa Moose. Bob had been an avid golfer and loved to hunt, fish and travel.
He is survived by three children, Pam (Chuy) Velazquez, of San Diego, Calif., Bob Roth, of Dallas, Texas, and Peggy (Keith) Chock, of Honolulu, Hawaii; five grandchildren, Garrick Chock, of Seattle, Taryn Chock, of Los Angeles, Quinn (Jeremy Talbo) Chock, of Honolulu, Emily Velazquez, of San Diego, and Andrew (Viri Guzman) Velazquez, of San Diego; one great-grandson, Isaiah Velazquez; a brother, William Roth, of La Salle; and a loving companion, Lorraine Gayan.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Shirley, on Jan. 22, 2012; two brothers, Joe and Jack Roth; and a sister, Mary Schmidt.
Pallbearers will be Garrick and Keith Chock, Andrew Velazquez, Ernie Mitchell, Ed Weber and Dan Bretag.
Memorials may be directed to St. Patrick Church.
