STREATOR — Darlene Denise Washington, 64, of Streator, passed away Thursday morning, April 5, at her home.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, April 14, at Winterrowd Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home with cremation rites following services.
Darlene was born April 17, 1953, in Streator, to James William and Laverne (Banks) Duncan. She married Charles Washington in 1982. He survives.
Also surviving are children, James William (Jennifer) Duncan, of Streator, Renee (Lewis) Berry, of Freeport, and Jeffrey (Georgean) Austin, of Streator; stepchildren, Derek (Leah) Washington, of Streator, and Nicole Washington, of Streator; 10 grandchildren, Lewis Duncan, James Freddericke, Lynette Duncan, Lucrecia Berry, Jeffrey Austin Jr. and Zandar Austin, Cori and Maurice Cunningham and Derek and Avin Washington; three great-grandchildren; sisters, Winifred Hightower, of Bloomington, Dyan Tyler, of Atlanta, Ga., and Dorene Wade, of Streator; brother, Dean (Sandy) Duncan, of Streator; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Darlene was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Kevin Duncan; and a grandson, Matthew.
She attended Streator grade schools and Streator High School. She was a member of Erven Avenue Baptist Church.
Darlene was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt and will be missed by all.
Memorials may be made in her name to the American Kidney Foundation.
