OTTAWA — Ruth Margaret Mann, 96, of Ottawa, formerly of Marseilles, passed away Friday, April 20, at OSF St. Elizabeth Medical Center.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 24, at Seals-Campbell Funeral Home in Marseilles with the Rev. Duane Kaufman officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services at the funeral home. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery in Marseilles.
Ruth was born March 15, 1922, in Marseilles, to Evan and Ethel (Hill) Mooneyham. On June 26, 1943, she married Leonard James Brown, from Marseilles, who preceded her in death in 1970. In 1978, she married Mose Mann, of Marseilles, who preceded her in death in 2004.
She was a member of First Baptist Church in Ottawa and active in La Salle County Genealogy Guild. She was also an avid Chicago Cubs fan.
Ruth is survived by one daughter, Marcella (Jack) Teplitz, of Peoria; two grandchildren, Nathan and Alaina Teplitz; and one sister, Louise (Homer) Chesser, of Florida.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Leonard James Brown and Mose Mann; three sisters, Elaine Eisert, Marie Mautino, and Arlene Gibson; and three brothers, James, Ennis and Charles Mooneyham.
Memorials may be directed to La Salle County Genealogy Guild, Ottawa Pavilion Nursing Home or the charity of the donor’s choice.
