Anna Ballard

PERU — Anna Ballard, 84, of Peru, died at 12:19 p.m. Wednesday, June 27, at Manor Court in Peru.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, July 2, at Burgess Funeral Home in La Salle. Pastor Scott Fulkerson will officiate. Burial will be in Peru City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday, July 1, at the funeral home. Additional visitation will be from 9 to 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.

She was born July 21, 1933, in Sandwich, to Kenneth and Olive (Bernard) Michaelson. She married Otis Ballard on Dec. 10, 1955, in Sheridan.

She is survived by five sons, Larry (Tammy) Ballard, of Sandwich, Jeffrey (Sylvia) Ballard, of Peru, David (Linda) Ballard, of Peru, Terry (Tina) Ballard, of Ottawa, and Kevin (Sherry) Ballard, of Peru; 16 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Clifford (Alda) Michaelson, of Sheridan, and Karl (Sandy) Michaelson, of Sheridan.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband in 2005; and three sisters.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family for her favorite charities.
