OTTAWA — Elsie "June" Neurohr, 92, of Ottawa, passed away Sunday, July 1, at her home.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Friday, July 6, at St. Francis of Assisi Church with the Rev. Corey Krengiel officiating. Visitation will be from 9 to 10:30 a.m. prior to services Friday at Ottawa Funeral Home & Crematory. Burial will be in St. Columba Cemetery.
June was born June 13, 1926, in Marseilles, to Lawrence and Mary (Reed) Anderson. She married Anthony Neurohr on Nov. 29, 1947, at St. Francis of Assisi Church; he passed away Sept. 23, 1997.
June loved being a mother and grandmother. Family was everything to her. She was very artistic and crafty, and she could create or do anything. She loved the Lord, and after a tough battle, went lovingly into His arms in her sleep.
She is survived by four children, Anthony "Tony" (Vicki) Neurohr Jr., Kim (Cindy) Neurohr, Mark (Karen) Neurohr and Kathi Neurohr; three grandchildren, Amy (Scott) Davis, Sarah (Jim) Shurts and Jason (Megan) Neurohr; four great-grandchildren, Houston (Amanda) Davis, Dayne Davis and Preston and Parker Shurts; and two great-great-grandchildren, Kylie and Trent Davis.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her grandson, Scott Neurohr; and 10 brothers and sisters, Emma Anderson, Marie Dennis, Hazel Sedar, Richard Anderson, Ralph Anderson, Lawrence Anderson Jr., Harold Anderson, Benjamin Anderson, Phyllis Anderson and James Anderson.
Pallbearers will be Jason Neurohr, Scott Davis, Jim Shurts, Mike Sedar, Houston Davis and Dayne Davis.
