Troy L. Swartz

STREATOR — Troy L. Swartz, 46, of Streator, passed away peacefully Friday evening, Aug. 31, at his home.

Following cremation, Celebration of Life will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 22, at Marilla Park in Streator. Winterrowd Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.

Troy was born April 6, 1972, in Streator, to Donald and Karen (Bardwell) Swartz.

He is survived by a daughter, Heather Swartz, of Springfield; three grandchildren, Aria, Trace and Josh; his parents, Karen and Dave McMullen, of Streator; sisters, Cherral (Marcus) Donaldson, of Streator, Joanna Garcia, of Streator and Samantha McMullen, of Streator; two nieces, Sierra and Shyan; his beloved hospice nurse of two years, Lisa Sartin; and his “Wifie,” Maryann Leonard.

Troy was preceded in death by his father; maternal grandparents, Lloyd and Gertrude Stevens; and paternal grandparents, William and Rachel Swartz.

He attended Streator Grade Schools and Streator High School.
