Dale W. Mackey

STREATOR — Dale W. Mackey, 81, of Streator, passed away Monday afternoon, Nov. 5, at his home.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 10, at Winterrowd Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Cremation rites will be accorded following services.

Dale was born Dec. 31, 1936, in Streator, to Bernice (Mackey) Macicha. He married Mary Mothershed on April 3, 1960. She survives.

Also surviving are his children, Alan (Shari) Mackey, of Austin, Texas, daughter, Jodie Davidson, of Streator, and Todd (Theresa) Mackey, of Long Point; six grandchildren, Julia (Shane) Beddow, of St. Joseph, Ill., Jessica Davidson, of La Salle, Robert, Christopher, Tyler and Travis; and 16 great-grandchildren, Kiah, Brynn, Kariah, Queen, Wynter, Ethan, Robbie, Leelynd, Alivia, Aurora, Xenia Jo, Joey, Xavier, Aaliyah, Aaraya and Riley.

He was preceded in death by his mother; and stepfather, John Macicha.

Dale attended St. Anthony Grade School and Streator High School. He served in the Air Force from 1953 to 1957 and worked as an electrician at Thatcher’s Glass and Anchor, retiring in 1991.

He was a member of Church of the Open Bible and Streator Eagles.
