OTTAWA — Steven Dean Thompson, 54, of Ottawa, formerly of Sheridan, passed away Friday, Nov. 9, at his home.
Steve was born Oct. 4, 1964, in Ottawa, to Arden Dean and Joan Marie (Metzer) Thompson. He was a graduate of Serena High School and had worked on many construction jobs, especially as a HVAC technician.
He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed working in his yard (gardening) and tinkering on any project.
He is survived by his daughter, Amanda Thompson, of Plainfield; two sisters, Linda (Jonathan) Grey, of Earlville, Sherri Farley, of Sandwich; and his brother, Greg Thompson, of Sheridan.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Gathering of family and friends will be from 10 a.m. to noon followed by a memorial service Saturday, Nov. 17, with the Rev. Richard Fassig officiating at Gabel-Dunn Funeral Home Ltd. in Sheridan.
