STREATOR — Judith Mae Schultz, 66, of Streator, passed away Sunday, Dec. 16, at OSF St. James–John W Albrecht Medical Center in Pontiac surrounded by her family.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 22, at St. Michael the Archangel Church in Streator with the Rev. Philip Halfacre and the Rev. Ryan Mattingly officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park in Streator. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 21, at Winterrowd Hagi Funeral Home in Streator with the rosary recited at 3:45 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to her church or St. Michael the Archangel School.
Judy was born March 4, 1952, in Streator, a daughter of Robert L. and Ellen Weber Novotney. She married George J. Schultz on May 1, 1971, in Streator. He survives, along with three children, Corey (Amy) Schultz, of Toluca, Amanda (Randy) Simpson, of Mendota, and Jason (Heidi) Schultz, of Streator; six grandchildren, Cora, Lydia, Natalie, Zachary, Jessica and Juliana Schultz; and three step-grandchildren, Katelyn, Garrett and Amanda Simpson. Also surviving is a sister-in-law, Marie Novotney, of South Carolina; and two nephews, Austin Novotney and Justin (Heather) Novotney.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Dr. Robert L. Novotney.
Judy was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Parish where she was a lector.
She and her husband owned and operated Schultz Wilbert Burial Vault Company and Hillcrest Memorial Park. Judy was the heart and soul of the office.
The family would like to thank Dr. Pal and Dr. Zafar, of Streator, Dr. Anderson and Dr. Melian from Loyola Medical Center and the staff at OSF St. James for the excellent care Judy received.
