The Character Counts program at Ottawa Elementary School District honored students for displaying fairness in January. The following students from Jefferson Elementary were selected by their teachers for consistently treating others fairly: (front row, from left) Jake Johnson, Bristol Hughes and Jase Goebel, kindergarten; (second row) Madison Canty, Jaxyn Provance and Mary Bryan, first grade; (third row) Ethan Pham, Dallas Nazimek and Axel Gutierrez, second grade; (fourth row) Trent Kunkel, Ellie Story, Josh Armstrong and Kim Michel, third grade; (fifth row) Dreager Duncan, Dane Schmitz and Bobby Speaks-Mills, fourth grade. Each student will receive a lunch courtesy of Jimmy John's.
