A Streator woman died Saturday morning in west-central Illinois after the vehicle she was riding in struck a utility pole, according to media reports.
Haley K. Edwards, 20, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash on Route 111, south of Waverly in Morgan County.
According to media reports, Illinois State Police said a car driven by Darryl J. Hall, 22, of Chicago, was northbound on Illinois 111 at about 7:30 a.m. when, for unknown reasons, it went off the left side of the road and hit the pole. Edwards was the front-seat passenger.
The conditions of Hall and two other passengers — Devon E. Thomas, 24, of Chicago and a 15-year-old — were not immediately provided.
The crash remains under investigation.
