James Gerard Pfeffer, 61, passed away Saturday, March 16, 2019 at OSF St. Elizabeth in Ottawa.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 21 at the Mueller Funeral Home in Ottawa with Rev. John Walker, Pastor of the First Presbyterian Church, Ottawa, officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 20.

James was born on May 27, 1957, in Kokomo, Indiana, to Marvin and Catherine (Coyle) Pfeffer. He attended Chandler High School, Chandler, AZ. James married Patti Jo Cunico on April 21, 1984 in Ottawa. He worked as an Ornamental Ironworker at the Local 63 for 42 years. His hobbies included model trains, cars (VW and Audi), antiques, riding on his tractor, old clocks (especially Cukoo Clocks), racing VW bajas with his wife, and wood working. He was also the best dance dad to his two daughters.

He is survived by his wife, Patti, his two daughters, Lauren (Joey Urso) Pfeffer, of Ottawa, and Tracy (Nathan Zwartz) Pfeffer, of Oak Forest, IL, a brother, Tom Pfeffer, of Chandler, AZ, and three sisters, Joan (Jeff) Schusler, of Gilbert, AZ, Karen (Raymond) Ross, of Chandler, AZ, and Patti (Bobby) Guzman, of Tempe, AZ.

James was preceded in death by his parents.
