Tracy Jo Ricci

Died: March 12, 2019

Tracy Jo Ricci, 38, of Granville, formerly of Utica, passed away Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at her home.

A celebration of life will be 1:00 to 4:00 PM Sunday, March 24, 2019 at the Utica Township Community Hall, 200 Mill Street, Utica, Illinois 61373. Ottawa Funeral Home and Crematory has been entrusted with her cremation rites.

Tracy was born September 17, 1980, in Spring Valley, Illinois to Edward and Cindy (Nordie) Ricci. She worked as a software developer for CIDNET Software for 10 years. In 2009 she opened Mad Tatters Tattoo shop. She was the first licensed tattoo shop in the county and state to operate out of her home. Tracy had a heart of gold and loved to be around her family and friends; especially her nieces and nephew. She had an infectious smile and enjoyed making people laugh. At an early age, Tracy loved working with special effects, creating many Halloween costumes for family and friends throughout the years. Known by many as having a “green thumb”, Tracy was an avid gardener and loved to share the bountiful riches that came from her gardens. She was a phenomenal cook, making even the weirdest sounding recipes taste amazing. She loved animals, taking in many strays and adopting others over the years and treated them as her children. Her life touched the hearts of many and she will be missed dearly.

She is survived by her mother, Cindy of Utica; her fiancée, William "Dale" Baker of Granville; her "children" Lola, Hank, Tripp, Doc, George, Smokey, Pennywise, Houdini, Persephone, King Louie, Hercules and others, her sister, Lisa (Jerry) Comer of Ottawa; nieces and nephew, Madison Comer, Jerry "JJ" Comer, and Naomi Munn; her grandparents, Joanne Nordie and Ken Ricci; her aunt and uncles, Connie Nordie, Doug Ricci, and Jeff Ricci, and many cousins.

Tracy was preceded in death by her father, Edward Ricci; her grandparents, Frank Nordie and Wilma Ricci; and aunt, Pam Ricci.
