Seneca High School teachers and staff honored February Students of the Month:
Student of the Month: Megan Neimann
Megan is the daughter of Robert and Sherry Neimann, and has lived in Seneca her entire life. A senior, Megan is grateful she was able to develop and learn in Seneca’s educational systems. Currently, she is a member of the National Honor Society, Young Philanthropy, Conservation In Action, HOSA-Future Health Occupations and Spanish Club. She also assists the school’s athletic trainer. She plans to attend Lewis University to pursue a bachelor’s degree in nursing.
Role Model: Kohlton Babcock
Kohl is the son of Todd and Rachael Babcock, of Seneca. He plans to attend St. Mary’s University in Winona, Minn. He is currently active in NHS, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, math team, hockey and is a student ambassador.
Most Improved: Karl Dziorny
Karl is the son of Tom and Joanna Dziorny, of rural Marseilles. He plans to attend Illinois Valley Community College and pursue a career in robotic engineering. He is currently active in La Salle County 4-H robotics as well as competitive shooting, rifle division.
Rookie: Evalynn Berg
Evalynn is the daughter of Christie (Nelson) Berg and Jason Berg and lives in Seneca and Morris. She plans to go to college and become a social worker to have the opportunity to help children and teenagers learn and develop to become happy, contributing members of society. She is currently active in FCCLA, CIA, drama and speech. Outside of school, she enjoys doing volunteer work with her grandmother (Dee Berg) at her church. Evalynn would like to thank her family and friends for supporting her and her ambitions, and always reminding her of just who she is and what she can do. Without them, she doesn’t think she would be as outgoing as she is today.
