Mary Patricia "Patsy" Hanley, 88, of Ottawa passed away Sunday, April 14, 2019 at Ottawa Pavilion.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12 noon, Wednesday, April 17 at St. Columba Church, with Rev. David Kipfer officiating. Visitation will be from 10 to noon, prior to services, also at the church. She will be buried at St. Columba Cemetery. Ottawa Funeral Home & Crematory has been entrusted with arrangements.

Patsy was born October 11, 1930 in Ottawa to Timothy and Mary Josephine (Riordan) Creedon. She married Martin S. Hanley November 20, 1956 at St. Columba Church; he passed away November 22, 2016 .

Patsy graduated from St. Xavier, currently known as Marquette Academy. She was a partner of the family-run Creedon Hotel and also worked at Sears & Roebuck in Ottawa. Patsy was a dedicated housewife and mother, a kind and loyal friend, and she loved to quilt and work in her yard. She was a lifelong member of St. Columba Church.

She is survived by four sons, Martin (Anne) Hanley III, David (Gina) Hanley, Tom (Leanne) Hanley, and Mike (Rose) Hanley; one daughter, Jody (Ed) Devoid; ten grandchildren, Erin Hanley, Kate Hanley, Carrie Hanley, Morgan (Hanley) Herrmann, Dylan Hanley, Grace Devoid, Libbey Hanley, Neil (Lauren) Hanley, Mara Hanley, and Aiden Hanley; and three sisters-in-law, Caroline (Hanley) Winslow, Joan (Tonielli) Hanley, and Mary Ellen (Hanley) Bretag.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and brother Tim (Flora) Creedon.

Pallbearers will be her family.
