Kathleen Van Trigt Persons passed away of natural causes on Thursday, March 21 at her home in Granada Hills, CA. She was 93 years old.

Funeral Services will be held at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church on Saturday, May 18 at11:00 am in Northridge, CA.

Kay was born on May 21, 1925 in Ottawa, IL to Peter and Gertrude Van Trigt. She married Erwin L. (Bud) Persons Jr. on February 1, 1947 in Van Nuys, CA and had a blissful marriage of 70 years.

Kay grew up in Ottawa, IL with her 4 siblings and after finishing grade school at St. Columba and high school at OTHS, she attended Grinnell College in Grinnell, Iowa. Kay then moved to Van Nuys, CA in 1945 and pursued a career with American Mortgage and Lending.

In 1953 she became an Escrow Officer at Van Nuys Savings & Loan for 12 years. In 1965 she became an Executive Escrow Officer at Manufacturers Bank in Encino, CA for 35 years and retired in 2000.

Kay was very involved with the Catholic Church and served on assorted committees. She was also involved with the CSUN Art's Council, Alzheimer's Association, American Cancer Society, VFW and was a lead organizer of multiple San Fernando Valley bridge clubs.

Kay was preceded in death by her Husband, Erwin L. (Bud) Persons, her Mother Gertrude Bollinger Van Trigt, her Father Peter Van Trigt, her Sister Mary Ann Van Trigt Wolslegel, her Brother John Van Trigt, her Brother Peter Van Trigt and her Brother William Van Trigt.
