A new medical group is beginning in Ottawa.
OSF HealthCare introduced the new OSF Medical Group Ear, Nose & Throat and Audiology practice. Beginning in June, the office will feature Tracey Childers, D.O., board certified in otolaryngology and otolaryngic allergy, as well as Anna Taravella, a licensed audiologist.
They will care for patients of all ages with ear, nose and throat needs. Areas of expertise include ear tube placement, tonsillectomy, hoarseness and chronic cough, endoscopic sinus surgery and balloon sinuplasty, allergy testing and immunotherapy, facial and skin lesion surgical management, hearing, balance and other auditory disorders, and comprehensive hearing evaluations.
Childers received her Bachelor of Science in biology from Dallas Baptist University and a medical degree in osteopathy from the University of North Texas-Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine.
In addition, Childers is fellowship-trained in otolaryngic allergy, making her a specialist on allergy diagnoses and treatment.
Taravella is a graduate of Illinois State University and holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology. She is currently employed through an existing OSF Medical Group practice in Bloomington, but is looking forward to expanding her services to La Salle County patients through the new Ottawa office.
Having provided ENT services to the rural Oklahoma area for the past 20 years, Childers is excited to become a part of the Ottawa community. Outside of the office, Childers spends time hiking, practicing photography, singing or performing with local community theater groups and traveling with her family.
The Ottawa location will become the second local OSF HealthCare option for patients in need of ENT services, joining a smimilar office in Mendota that launched in early 2018.
The Ottawa location is scheduled to open on June 20 at 1050 E. Norris Drive, Suite 3C. Schedule appointments in advance by calling 815-434-7473.
