Teresa Rae Calkins (Tere), 68 years of age passed peacefully on May 20th, 2019 in Peoria, IL at OSF surrounded by her family.

Tere was born December 8th, 1950 in Streator, IL to the late Margaret and Raymond Bellis. She graduated from Streator High School in 1969. She later received her nursing degree from IVCC. She continued working as an RN until her retirement.

Tere was 1 of 7 children, Janet Weir, Sheri (Don) Clift, Robert (Joni) Bellis, Donald (Susan) Bellis, Jackie (Tom) Wieczorek, and Rebecca Bellis.

Tere left behind her husband Tom Calkins of 48 years and her 6 beloved children, Tom Calkins Jr, Chris (Wendy) Calkins, Melissa (Bucky) Crank, Julie (Mario) Cuevas, Justin (Andrea) Calkins, and Cody (Hope) Calkins. Tere also leaves behind her 11 cherished grandchildren, Caitlin, Casey, Hunter, Logan, Alex, Michael, Payton, Emma, Miley, Camden, Emett, and her 4 great grandchildren, Aubree, Zayden, Kaibrey, and Julian. Also, a shout out to all her amazing nieces and nephews.

Tere loved fishing, reading, and having game nights with her family. She was proud of all of her childrens accomplishments and was the biggest fan of The Cody Calkins Band.

At Tere's request her body was donated for the advancement of science. Her celebration of life will be on June 8th, 2019 at 5PM - 10PM at American Legion 218 W. Main St. Streator, IL 61364
