William David Brown

William “Willie” David Brown, 70, of Streator, passed away Friday (August 23, 2019) at OSF St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria.

Following cremation a celebration of life will be held Saturday from 4 - 6 p.m. at the Winterrowd Funeral Home. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery at a later date.

Willie was born on February 8, 1949 in Streator to William J. and Mildred R. (Wergen) Brown. He married Nancy Sargent on November 7, 1975. She survives.

Also surviving are children; Trina (Jim) Hunt of Meriden, ID, Troy David (Wendy) Brown of Camp Douglas, WI, Chad David Brown of Bloomington, Jason Allen (Kelly) Brown of Streator, Jeremy John Brown of Peru, Tracey Brown of Streator, step-children Scott Schriener of Trujillo-Peru, South America and Christen Schriener of Streator, 17 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren Hayden Blameuser, Kaycee Simpson, Winter and Liam Brown and several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents and a sister Patricia Ann Burkett.

Willie attended Streator Grade Schools and Streator High School. He retired from Owens Illinois Glass and Calkins Trucking and Modern Transportation.

Memorials may be made to the Veterans 22 Mission or Agent Orange.
