Barbara Ewing

Beloved sister, mother, grandmother and friend

Barbara Ewing, 84, died Thursday, September 12, at her Phoenix home with family at her side.

She was born in Ottawa, Illinois to Albert and Helen Meyers. Barbara graduated from Ottawa Township High School and attended Zion Lutheran Church in Ottawa, IL while living there. She was the neighborhood hairdresser in South Ottawa from ages 12 to 16. She worked at the News Tribune in La Salle, IL, in her early working life.

She is survived by Albert R (Randy) Meyers of Streator, IL, Carole Meyers of Krebs, OK, her three daughters, two grandsons, and many nieces and nephews. Barbara is preceded in death by her parents, a brother (William Meyers), and her husband (Charles Ewing).

There will be a Service of Remembrance at Calvary Free Lutheran Church located at 590 N 96th Street in Mesa, AZ, 85207, at 2 PM on Wednesday, September 18, 2019.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to one of Barbara's favorite charities, the International Fellowship of Christians and Jews (www.IFCJ.ORG).
