The Woodland High School Class of 1964 celebrated its 55th reunion Sept. 14 at Chippers in Streator with 18 classmates and guests in attendance.
Before going to the buffet, a prayer was given by Pat (Stasko) Emm. The classmates paused for a moment to remember their 23 deceased classmates, whose names were read by Vince Lucky. After dinner, a dessert of a Warrior-decorated cake made by Doreen Danko, daughter of classmate Raelene (Klee) Harcar, was served.
A trivia quiz was hosted by Leslie Beall on the history of Livingston County. Ladonna Lucky got the most correct answers.
Attendees listened to music of the 1960s brought by Diane (Plain) Maubach. Emm also brought a video of a class reunion from 15 years ago.
Prizes were given for the following: first reservation sent in went to Beall; last reservation sent in went to Lorette (Seeger) Miller; and farthest distance went to Janice (England) McClain. Door prizes were drawn by Harcar and went to Ronald Bengston, Larry Emm, Beall, Lucky, Maubach, Alice (Norris) Defenbaugh, Ray Defenbaugh, Marian (Guyon) Shelton and Sandy (Schultz) Brucker.
Jennifer (Broad) Taylor read letters from classmates who were unable to attend. They were John Fialko, Karen (Freese) Owen and Linda (Hogan) Reinmann.
