Maurice L. Cunningham, 19, of Streator passed away Friday, November 22, 2019 at Memorial Hospital in Springfield, Illinois.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, November 30, 2019 at the Solon-Telford Funeral Home, Streator.

Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. Saturday, November 30, 2019 at the Solon-Telford Funeral Home, Streator.

Cremation rites have been accorded.

Born May 19, 2000 in Streator, he was the son of Cory Cunningham and Nicole Washington.

He is survived by his mother, Nicole Washington of Streator; his father, Cory Cunningham of Danville, Kentucky; a sister, Cori Cunningham of Springfield; a half-sister, Ahmani Salinas of Danville; maternal grandparents, Roberta and Charles Gebhardt of Streator; paternal grandparents, Johnny and Robin Cunningham of Streator; paternal grandmother, Patricia Cunningham of Las Vegas, Nevada; a special friend, Zoey Brogdon of Jacksonville with whom he was expecting his first child; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins also survive.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Charles Washington and maternal step-grandmother, Darlene Washington.

Born and raised in Streator, he attended Streator grade schools and graduated from Streator High School in the class of 2018. While in high school Maurice played football and was on the wrestling team.

After graduation from high school he attended MacMurray College in Jacksonville where was studying Business Management and also played football.

He had previously served an internship at P&P Industries in Sterling.

Maurice loved life, music and his dogs. He will be dearly missed by his loving family and friends.

Memorials may be directed to a college fund to be established for his unborn child.
