Julie Lynn Bales, 50, of Blackstone, passed away at 2:04 p.m. Wednesday, December 11, 2019 at her residence.

A visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until noon Wednesday at Hagi & Baker Funeral Home.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at noon Wednesday at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Seneca. Rev. Ghislain Inai will officiate.

Interment will be in the Ottawa Avenue Cemetery in Ottawa.

She was born on March 25, 1969 in Ottawa to Vincent Peter & Gaile (Hausaman) Machiorletti.

She married Richard Bales in January of 2013. He survives.

She is also survived by her children, Alice Lyle, of Streator, Sarah Michelle Lyles, of Lostant, Randy Richard Lyle, of Blackstone, Kaylee Lyle, of Streator, and Jennifer Lyle, of Streator; two stepchildren, Richard Austin Bales and Alexis Marie Bales, both of Tennessee; 5 grandchildren; her mother, Gaile Hausaman Nellett, of Marseilles; siblings, Anne Marie (Dave) Barsi, of Seneca, James Vincent Machiorletti, of Antioch, CA, Sarah (Ernie) Manz, of Marseilles, and Susan (Anthony) Roberts, of Ottawa; numerous nieces and nephews; and sisters-in-law, Tina Bales, Tracy (Kelly) Rissman and Tammy (Edward) Handzus, all of Streator.

She was preceded in death by her father; her stepfather, Henry Nellett; grandparents; and her in-laws, Charles and Patricia Forthe.

She graduated from Marquette High School in Ottawa.

Julie loved to cook, the St. Louis Cardinals, camping and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
