Julie Lynn Bales, 50, of Blackstone, passed away at 2:04 PM Wednesday (December 11, 2019) at her residence.

A visitation will be held from 10 AM until noon Wednesday at the Hagi & Baker Funeral Home.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1pm Wednesday at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Seneca. Rev. Ghislain Inai will officiate. Interment will be in the Ottawa Avenue Cemetery in Ottawa.

She was born on March 25, 1969 in Ottawa to Vincent Peter & Gaile (Hausaman) Machiorletti. She married Richard Bales in January of 2013. He survives.

She is also survived by her children: Alice Lyle of Streator, Sarah Michelle Lyle of Lostant, Randy Richard Lyle of Blackstone, Kaylee Lyle of Streator and Jennifer Lyle of Streator; two stepchildren: Richard Austin Bales and Alexis Marie Bales both of Tennessee; 5 grandchildren; her mother, Gaile Hausaman Nellett of Marseilles; siblings: Anne Marie (Dave) Barsi of Seneca, James Vincent Machiorletti of Antioch, CA, Sarah (Ernie) Manz of Marseilles and Susan (Anthony) Roberts of Ottawa; numerous nieces and nephews and sister-in-law's: Tina Bales, Tracy (Kelly) Rissman and Tammy (Edward) Handzus all of Streator.

She was preceded in death by her father; her stepfather, Henry Nellett; grandparents and her in-laws: Charles and Patricia Forthe.

She graduated from Marquette High School in Ottawa.

Julie loved to cook, the St. Louis Cardinals, camping, spending time with her family especially her grandchildren.
